Lossless masters
Required
WAV, AIFF, or FLAC, the file as delivered. Haven reads the real bit depth and sample rate from each file, fingerprints it (sha256), and never re-encodes it. Lossy files renamed as lossless are declined.
ISRC for every track
Required
One ISRC per recording. If the recording already has an ISRC from an earlier release, use that same code. Haven checks each ISRC against its catalog so a recording only appears once.
UPC or EAN
Required
The 12 or 13 digit barcode number for the release.
℗ owner and year
Required
Who owns the sound recording, and the year. A contract, distributor statement, or registration is welcome as supporting proof and is stored privately.
Songwriter and publisher splits
Required
Each songwriter's name, role, share, and PRO (BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, GMR, other, or none), with songwriter shares totaling 100%. Publishers, IPI numbers, and ISWCs if you have them. This is how songwriters get paid.
W-9 or W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E
Required
A signed IRS form (W-9 in the US, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E outside the US) and payout details. Needed before payout, not before review. Encrypted and stored privately.
Cover art
Required
Square JPG or PNG, at least 3000x3000 pixels. Used for streaming and the booklet face.
No conflicting deals
Required
Confirm that no label, distributor, or other exclusive agreement prevents you from licensing the release directly to Haven.
Booklet PDF(s)
Optional
Upload one or more booklet PDFs as part of the album package. Listeners can read them in-page and download every file.
Credits & liner notes
Optional
Shown in release tabs; listeners can also download them as .txt with the album package.
Lane A direct ingest
Direct upload is live. Each release is checked for ISRC, UPC, and audio duplicates, has its files verified, runs an AI integrity scan, then sits in founder review before New Releases. Distributor delivery comes later; when the same recording arrives from more than one source, Haven keeps one track per ISRC with one active source.
Upload requires acceptance of the Artist Agreement (rights, metadata, and no-conflicting-deals confirmations). Send your tax form any time.
