Tony Moore’s career in music began when he left his hometown of Bristol to join Iron Maiden as a keyboard/synth player in the ’70s. In the early ’80s Tony formed a band around his songwriting called Radio Java, signing to Carrere Records and recording an album of his songs at Abbey Road. His single FOOL became an airplay hit in Holland at Christmas 1983. In 1986 he was asked to join Cutting Crew as keyboard player, going on to tour the world and open for acts like Huey Lewis, Starship, and The Bangles in the wake of the global success of their hit single “(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight.” At the end of 2004 Tony Moore was made the sole inductee into the MMF (Music Managers Forum) Roll of Honour for outstanding contribution to the British music industry. In October 2010 Tony was awarded a “Gold Badge” by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors for his services to songwriters and his major contribution to the creative industry. As a writer, singer, and performer, he has never stopped. On June 30, 2019, Tony captivated a sold-out stadium audience with his own composition “We Are the Light” at the closing ceremony of the European Games 2019 in Minsk, Belarus. This momentous show was also broadcast live to 117 countries across the Earth, reaching an estimated 500 million viewers, making it the biggest gig of his life so far. During lockdown, Tony took his live performances digitally and, from March 24, 2020 onwards, played more than 110 consecutive two-hour online shows before taking a break in July of that year. His streamed shows, titled “Right Here With Tony Moore,” have been viewed by countless thousands of people from all corners of the planet and have resulted in him building a massive community of supporters. In 2022 Julian Lennon recorded and released his latest album “JUDE,” which included a song he co-wrote with Tony called “LOVE NEVER DIES.” The song also features Tony playing the haunting piano part that underpins it. Tony is currently performing AWAKE, the highly acclaimed live one-man show based on music he wrote, recorded, and produced through lockdown. In January 2024 he was special guest for Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) and his band British Lion on their British tour, which he followed in February 2024 with his own headline tour of the show in theatres and clubs across the country. In August 2024, Tony embarked on a world tour with AWAKE, opening for British Lion and playing Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the USA. In 2025 Tony once more took AWAKE on the road to play shows in major European cities the day before Iron Maiden, followed by a European and British tour opening for British Lion to close the year. 2026 started with a highly successful AWAKE headline tour around the UK, and in July he was honoured to open EDDFEST, the Iron Maiden festival at Knebworth in the UK. In April he was invited to play a special show in Nassau in the Bahamas, and he performed at the much anticipated Iron Maiden festival “Eddfest” on July 10 at the iconic Knebworth House Estate. In August 2026 Tony returned to Canada and the USA to play more shows. www.tonymooremusic.com
